How is this being sold new as a 2022? Is this eligible for apple care? Is this open box as listed for the other ones or is this true new new?
Unfortunately, given the fact that they are listed as having a 90 Day Woot Limited Warranty one can assume that Apple recognizes neither the manufacturer’s warranty nor their eligibility for Apple Care.
What i also want to know is all these MacBooks (new and new open box) have the 90 warranty in their description yet the faq page says “Scratch & Dent and Open Box Clearance products are not eligible for Asurion protection plan. These items are still eligible for the 90-day Woot limited warranty (30 days for Open Box items).”
So is it 30 days or 90 days? The listing says 90 but the faq says 30 ![]()
And they all list the asurion protection plan but again the faq info above says they’re not eligible
Yes, it’s confusing. I read your previous posts about this issue. I wish that I knew the answer.
Hopefully, a Woot staffer will clear it up.
My understanding from reading the information at the aforementioned links is the following: as long as the item lists both the Woot and the optional Asurion warranties and their associated links, the item is eligible for both warranties for the applicable term.
Unless I misunderstand, the Asurion exclusion of Scratch & Dent and Open Box Clearance items only applies to those with their condition explicitly denoted as such. This exclusion would not apply to other forms of Open Box items
All the Macbooks in this sale come with a 90 day warranty through Woot and are also eligible for Asurion
This item is New new. Anything that is open box will say New (open box).
To Woot Staff please:
