Why doesn’t this work with iPhone 13 (and family)? Why is it clearance? How is it different?
It will work with the 12, 13 and 14 families. This product was released alongside the 12 series and the description is likely from the original product release. The charger hasn’t changed at all since its release.
Welcome to Woot! where the copy is made up and the price points don’t matter.
Unless I missed something, Apple “recommends” using a 20W adapter but by their own admission this thing can only charge up to 15W. The text doesn’t note that, it won’t charge your phone at 20W. So it’s not as fast as just using that 20W adapter with a usb-c to lightning cable directly plugged into your phone. Yep; induction charging is ALWAYS slower than a wired cable.
Not of you break your charge port or fray your charge wire by haphazardly jacking in/out too much. Practice responsible phone jacking.
There is approximately a 25% loss of efficiency with a wireless charger so a 20w charger will charge at 15w, and a 10w charger will charge at 7.5w.
