Us tall guys with big feet always have to watch these deals go by, longing for once, just once, Woot would have our size.
Purchased a pair of 11.5 wide last time offered. Normally I’m a 12 in hiking boots but I found that these fit perfectly with socks. Just did a 14 mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail this weekend and they were awesome. Trail conditions were very very rocky and I was comfortable the whole hike.
Are these water proof, cannot find a yes or no here.
For future reference… no they are not waterproof. They are anything but since they are designed to allow as much air in as possible.
They are also much lighter than the ones in the photo. It is best to describe them as only slightly darker than natural uncolored leather.
UPDATE: July 24… 2 months after getting them and not even wearing them all the time they have started to come apart at the heal where the stitching is coming undone. Apparently they aren’t made to last. Avoid them in the future.
