NOTE: Purple (eggplant) shirts are manufactured by American Apparel. Pay attention to the sizing charts!
Thank you for the print, Woot! I did not realize at the time I would be competing with purple American Apparel shirts. Oh man. I do think my design is funny and current though. Thanks, everybody!
Auto correct: current should be, “different.” Grrrr
Yes!!! The purple are on American Apparel!!! I have about 3 or 4 I’m going to get

I was really hoping to pick up your Octogent today, but it was not to be.
I will be buying at least two shirts in eggplant. I love AA blanks (and hate Anvils) and while I know they will never be back in full force, I’ll buy them when I can.
I would love it if Woot! would email me whenever AAs are available.
Hello Sweetie is printed; my day is made. I don’t even care that it’s on Anvil. Just so happy I’ll be able to get the shirt <3

Will someone please explain why American Apparel are different ?
The cut is longer, the fabric is softer and stays that way, they don’t shrink much, made in the USA (Los Angeles), the pay their workers a living wage (well above California’s already higher minimum wages), and they finally gotten rid of Dov.
And unlike the mutant blanks, AA shirts don’t pinch my armpits.
It would be great if Woot would offer more American-made items.
Awesome! I didn’t expect 1st place at all
I’m happy Girl from the Moon was printed too!
BTW do artists get a coupon code?

Also, in the women’s blanks, AA isn’t as fitted as Anvil. That is to say, Anvil actually has room for hips and bust, where AA doesn’t!

Well, as a busty woman, I can get an XL in AA and still distort the design with my boobs. I can get a similar effect in anvil in a size medium. But go up to a large and have it hang naturally over my breasts while still being fitted and not boxy. So I prefer it when I want to show off a cool design and not just feel awkward with someone ogling my breasts in it.
In AA children’s sizes, my son would wear yr a size 10 when he was 6, and my 12 yr old girl would have to jump to a women’s medium. Son is very texture sensitive - anvil tees pass muster with him in smoothness, lightness, lack of tightness while not being too large or having to be upsized. So again, prefer anvil for being true-to-size in kids’ sizes.
Have heard anvil might shrink more? I have not experienced any significant brand difference in the wash/wear/shrink on tees (washing all in warm, drying hot.) Have no experience with men’s sizes AA, but have avoided AA for husband since I know how the women’s shirts cling and he doesn’t wear ‘clingy.’ Or too heavy weight, either. No issues for him over anvil.
tl;dr - Not everyone hates anvil. Or loves AA. I like anvil, am neutral on AA.
Woot please put prints on V-neck shirts again. I have worn the check out of the 3 I purchased from you some time ago. They dress up the t-shirt just enough. Please offer v-neck shirts with your prints! Thanks!
Me too.
I used to wear woot shirts daily under my work smock back when they were all AA and $10. First they increased the price which lead to fewer shirts being purchased, but I can understand the cost increase.
When they switched to Anvil blanks I have regretted purchasing every one. Not just are they shorter (being a big AND tall person this was an issue), the material is thinner an more stretchy (better for fitted shirts), the stitching seems to fall apart after 2 or 3 washes and the collar becomes deformed (gentle cycle and hang dry).
There are many great designs that I would love to purchase, but I am not buying ANY shirts that are printed on Anvil and this includes randoms.
I will be purchasing two shirts today, even though purple is not my color because the design looks nifty because they are AA.
Note: I understand that people have their preferences, as my wife likes the Anvils fit better, but even her shirts are falling apart and she states that it is not worth it.
Why no kid sizes on the purple shirts? Bummer.

AA doesn’t make them, and since Woot changed to cheaper blanks, they don’t have the buying clout to custom make at a reasonable price for Woot either.

Look me up on society6. Not the same as a woot screen print and I do hate the way they add random colors of shirts but it looks sweet on a bag! -thanks
