And suddenly these are back. I truly loved mine for the five months that it worked. But then the internal screen died, and I would have gotten another here but there were none for sale.
Then I discovered, by looking at all the used folding phones out there–from the other brands as well–that failing folding screens is a thing. It happens. Expect it.
There was no response from the warranty email address, but a direct message to Woot got a speedy response. So I ordered a non-folding Pixel so I could still have the great camera and returned the Fold. Woot issued a refund quickly.
Oddly, there are apps that simply would not work on the Fold that work perfectly on the replacement Pixel, even though the Fold had been updated to the latest OS, and the new Pixel was migrated directly from the Fold; if the Fold had been configured incorrectly, I would have expected the problem to carry over.
Love the phone and enjoy the oohs and ahs when you show the photos you’ve taken, but be prepared for the day when the internal screen goes blank.
Is this unlocked from carrier? Or was originally unlocked?

The good news is the phone bootloader is unlockable. I have Graphene-OS now.
Since it is an AT&T phone if I want to use it with Mint Mobile what do I need to do?

I need to be clear. the phone is AT&T unlocked, I have MINT sim card in it now. the bootloader is unlockable, and GrapheneOS is the OS of chose now.
I wooted this phone in mid February (then $479). What I received was a new phone in factory packaging. The phone was indeed unlocked. No traces of any carrier. However I received this email in early March:
Dear kimbo,
Dear Customers, We might have accidently shipped you an AT&T locked Google Pixel Fold instead of a Fully Unlocked phone. The good news is that we got confirmation from Google that all phones shipped out for this deal have now been Unlocked and can now be used with any carrier. The only thing required to ensure this update processes on your phone is to do a factory reset and make sure that when doing the activation setup, that your phone is connected to local WiFi. This WiFi/internet connection during setup allows the phone to receive the update from Google’s servers. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
Hope this doesn’t add to the confusion. PS This is the best phone and most fun phone I have ever owned.
does this phone have one year warranty from google
I bought this phone from Woot in late February 2026 for $479. I got it all set up on wifi and then I inserted my T-Mobile SIM. At that point I learned that it was locked to AT&T, even though the description clearly said it was unlocked. I tried everything I could think of including phoning AT&T and showing up at my local AT&T store. I learned this phone could not be unlocked. I called WOOT and I was offered a refund. I shipped the phone back using the provided label. I ended up buying this phone from someone on ebay for a couple of hundred more. So while it was very nice that woot stood behind their listing error, it was a major hassle for me. I am now a bit hesitant to believe everything I read in woot listings. From the comments, it looks like they must have sold a lot of these and they later figured out a way to get these phones unlocked rather than have a bunch of returned phones that were opened and used.

On the Woot listing it says the original price is $1,799 which is the price of the Pixel 10?
Thanks for the note on the reference price. We import most of these from Amazon or the vendor. In some cases, the import is pulling old data. There are just too many for us to catch them all with our current systems. So for now, just ignore them please.
$1799 is the original price of the Pixel Fold at release, as well.
