(NEW) JBL Live 460NC Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

What I’m needing is a pair of headphones that will let me hear the sound from a television that’s on FIOS, but for which I want, at certain times, to cut off the sound from the Television itself, so that the tv sound/noise will not disturb others. In the other locations in the home, I’ve used what are celled Artiste Units, but they are now hard to find. With the ones I have, the docket that comes with the unit will “recharge” the batteries when the headphones are not in use. Can I do same with these JBL’s? I’ve used other JBL’s for decades, including internationally with what were called the “Monitor” speaker systems, even in France, Russia, and China, when I was living/working in each.

Can no one tell me whether this headphone system can be used with a television (not just as a telephone-headphone or a player from other systems)? Our current units work through the (awful) FIOS boxes.
Thanks…

That’s dependent on your TV. Most TVs will have a speaker jack for headphones so these would work but you’d probably need an extension for the cable. But check your TV to see if it has a 3.5mm OUT.

Thanks. The older TV (a Toshiba) to which I have a pair of declining Artiste headphones now connected connected has those connections into two external RCA-plug out ports. The FIOS unit that I’m using there is the smaller FIOS Controler/Signal box, which has at its rear one USB port, one plug-slot marked “AV out,” and one plug-slot marked “IR Ext.”
I’m being super-cautious because a headphones pair that I got earlier (actually from you) I wound up being unable to have it work in any way. Want not to repeat that situation. Hoping, since these are JBL’s there will be enough flexibility so that I can make them work.
I also have a much-larger and newer than the Toshiba Element television that I could use to replace the Toshiba.

I took a photo of the inputs/outputs on that unit, but your system seems not to let me attach a photo here, so I list the workable plugs:
Headphone
PC Audio
Coaxial Audio
The following are RCA-type plugs)
L
R (
Video
PR
PB

I’m hoping/guessing, even if I have to buy some other connection wires, that something out of all that should work?

Thanks

These are wireless but can also be used with the included 3.5mm cable. 3.5mm is pretty standard for audio jacks.

The good news is that if they don’t work, you can return them for a full refund.
