Decent processor, memory, okay storage (512 or a gig would be better), nice screen, which is almost rendered useless by the atrocious graphics. DO NOT EXPECT TO GAME ON THIS LAPTOP. Should be fine for non graphic intensive business applications as well as Internet browsing and watching videos/streams though. Price is about $200 more than i would spend on something like this because of the graphics that were outdated a decade ago.
If I were to find this as a decent running business machine the first thing I’d do is replace the SSD to most likely a 2gb at a decent price. How hard is it to replace the SSD on this machine?
I’ve never found physically replacing a hard drive to be that challenging, just need the right screwdrivers and something plastic to pry with. Cloning a drive or doing a fresh os install will probably be the more difficult part.
Hugely popular in Idaho.
I’m nearly certain that this machine has 2 nvme slots. I’ve not had any trouble getting into my older LG laptop with just a nice phillips driver and a guitar pick.
Well it depends on the game there, whippersnapper (cough) … solitaire, minesweeper, find the BSOD reason…
Seems like a 2gb hard drive would be a significant downgrade.
This is a $500 laptop. IMO.
I ran Kingdom Come Deliverance at 30 plus frames with that iGPU. For a iGPU it is pretty good.
I have a regular gaming PC but I wanted the try out the Iris XE GPU to see what it could do, I did better then expected.
Check the manufactures specs to make sure you can replace it. If you can it is very easy, but if you just need it for business you could get something cheaper computer. Do you really need a laptop, because desktops are generally a better value.
