The 3DS came out over 12 years ago. All good things must come to an end.

They are specifically talking about the digital games store shutting down after 12 years. Physical games for the 3DS will always work, as will games you already purchased and downloaded.
If the Switch store works the same way as the 3DS store, it might shut down sometime around 2029, 2030. But all physical copies of Switch games will still work, and this is assuming they don’t do a “Switch 2” or “Super Switch” in a few years that will reset the clock.
Usually switches sell out. This is surprisingly still in stock. This is a decent deal though at $40 off. It’s usually only 7% off. For the Pokemon version, there no discount as per usual.
But I honestly spent $250 on the 3ds eShop in the past week. So Nintendo ain’t getting any more money from me.
