Just an FYI, QVC has 2024 Samsung QLED TVs (43"-85") as their Today’s (9/2/24 only) Daily Special and this 55" is sale priced at $629.98, so this is a better deal. Well, only difference is QVC’s includes a two yr. warranty.

I own 3 Samsung QLED 4K TVs (two 55" & one 65") and think they are fantastic. Considered an OLED which are noted for their color saturation but it declines some every year and, unless you (or they) have an adjustable (timed) screen saver, they have a high potential for image “burn-in”, especially with text. If interested in an OLED, you can bone up on their issues @ Rtings.com. Those are the reasons I never bought one. Besides, the Samsung QLED’s picture is nearly as good, IMO, and will last years longer than an OLED. If interested in a 55" TV, this is, again IMO, an excellent choice and a good deal!

We have an LG OLED and haven’t noticed any issues. It’s about 6 years old now. We don’t leave it on shows like cable news for hours where a banner will potentially burn in. I know some people do that. The LG OLED are not perfect so I am not going there but as far as it getting dimmer or burn in - I haven’t seen that in 6 years….lab results seem to say otherwise but real world, not so much!

Really, I have the 1st and only LG OLED 3D 1080P 55" 2013 bought in 2015 New and watched my Denon 3808ci AVR logo fixated all night with no burn in to date (and it has done that over 500 times since 2015). So that issue from Plasma Nightmare Drama was fixed before the roll out of OLED. I just purchased a 77" LG OLED 4K at Costco and that screen turns black with no activity with a Yamaha Aventage 3070 AVR. The Network News/Sports Channels and others have fixed that LOGO problem as they all now swirl actively on the screen preventing burn-in

I was impressed by Samsung QLED which has improved much in 2024 especially for light lit rooms. I keep my rooms dark when viewing the supremo stuff with OLED which both Samsung and Sony have adopted with excellent versions

This TV is edge-lit garbage with a 60Hz refresh rate and terrible video processing. Don’t let the “QLED” moniker distract or confuse you.

If Samsung TV’s were garbage they wouldn’t be the top selling TV brand for the last 18 years running!

McDonald’s is the best selling hamburger globally…I guess by that metric, it means they make the world’s best hamburgers. Samsung makes lots of good TVs, this isn’t one of them.
