(NEW) Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch4 Classic - 46mm (LTE)

If this is a new watch this is a really great deal because this price is generally the refurbished price.

if I didn’t have 5pro I’d buy this because it’s technically very similar to 5, same screen and processor just better battery and a new color… this is a great price.

I also have the 5 Pro, and I would recommend that anyone who doesn’t already have one buy this 4 instead. I never had a problem with my last few generations of watch, but the 5 series are when they switch to Google’s WearOS and has been noticeably bad.

Ended up making the jump finally on this, since this price is pretty insane doing some research into next lowest.

I will say the one thing I keep seeing popping up is that this specific model, 4 Classic LTE, seems to have some issues with overheating, especially in areas of low cell signal, so just keep that in mind. There are various things you can try and do if you run into this issue, but for this price I’ll take the gamble since people with the 5 still talk about how good the 4 was.

Wooted this at the same price during the holiday shopping season, they are new in box. If not, they were swapped for new ones (there were a handful of complaints). Very happy with it. It is running WearOS. Not using the LTE functionality. The 4 Classic is the ONLY one with the rotating bezel selector, and I like that functionality. I get about a day and a half of battery life out of it in normal operation.

I’m rough on my watch. I already have a few scratches on the bezel but that raised bezel also protects the front face, so my glass is pristine.

The Watch 4 and 5 are almost exactly the same in OS and soec. Tizen was their OS and was left a couple gems ago.

Having said that, i detest my Watch 4 Classic. I’ve had it a year, got it cheaper than this prce new WITHPUT trade in. I preferred my Gear S3 Classic.

Both the 4 (this watch) and 5 series use WearOS. The 3 was the last model to use Tizen. Personally I prefer WearOS, but to each their own of course.

It seems this LTE watch is not standalone and needs a phone with the same cellular provider and a combo plan to make it work. Is that accurate?
I have a RedPocket MVNO plan and they don’t support eSIM on smartwatches, so I will need a completely new plan with a new phone number on a different phone to be able to use this watch?

It probably depends on the carrier, but as far as I know you can use this as a stand-alone device with its own number and cell connection.

I use AT&T and I know with my Galaxy Watch 2, I could either do that or do the number sync thing where it would forward my phone’s texts/calls to the watch. Or you can just use it strictly paired with your phone and no separate cell signal, as well.

You do NOT need a carrier plan. It works just fine with Bluetooth.

Yes, but iPhone is not fully supported I guess. Has anyone had it working with iOS?

This is a great deal if you don’t already have a samsung. For those who have one and are looking to upgrade you can get a new Galaxy watch 5 for about the same price by trading in your old one with Samsung. I traded in my galaxy watch 3 and paid 209 before tax. I was going to purchase this before i checked Samsung.

I have the Galaxy watch (first edition I assume as there was no numerical designation) that has a rotating bezel and lasts about a day and a half. I like it a lot. But Samsung was running a promotion for the 5 with a ‘trade in any smartwatch, any condition’ so I sprung for the 5 pro. I traded in a non-functioning Asus Zenwatch 2. I maybe should have traded in my Pebble but it just keeps working so I wear it in the workshop or kayaking or yardwork. Love the 5 pro. The battery easily goes 2½ days and then some, wearing it constantly including sleep function and GPS on my daily walk. If nothing else, I love it for ‘Hey, Google’ instead of ‘Hey, Bixby’ which never worked and is never able to answer anything more than ‘What time is it?’ which is kind of redundant on a watch.

I bought this same watch from Woot for $189.99 on Dec. 14. It’s 5$ cheaper today. I deserve a BOC.

I bought my car for $30,000 7 years ago. Now it’s only worth $3000. I deserve a BOC.

LOL. We try to hold prices for 14 days. After that, we need to keep up with marketplace prices or y’all call us out for not having the lowest price.

If your car is seven years old, don’t worry–you’ll have a BOC soon.
