$700 less than the mothership.
But I have no if I could tell the difference between these and ones that cost 10%
i would probably find that I need new ears and brain circuitry to tell the difference, which would mean even more $$$$$$$$$$$I!
I own a pair and this is an excellent price. You’ll need a dedicated headphone amp for the best sound at they are 300 Ω and may be hard to drive with a smartphone or similar. I use a Schiit Valhalla 2. These sound fantastic with a well defined top end and accurate bass. They are not bass heavy, as is the case with most open backs. They sound best with jazz and classical and are extremely comfortable. The detachable cable is nice and comes with a balanced one as well. If you think these are expensive, they also have a pair that I think costs close to $60,000!
So someone who uses an actual high end DAP?
I considered something like this before, but I like Bluetooth more. Maybe in 10-20 years we will get Bluetooth in all audio codecs.

Kind of expensive phones unless you have a very good analog source of music…
Yep. Sounds great with my Fiio M11 Pro.
What? No Bluetooth with AptX lossless codec?
Never! At best, Bluetooth is barely CD quality and only fine for casual listening. These headphones will emphasize the flaws of Bluetooth.
Sounds great with my Zune.
