Really good, professional cans. Accurate, pretty flat.
This maybe $5 less than the last offer but won’t swear to it.
My sister model (MDR V6) is doing very well after 8 or 9 years. Just replace the pads now & then.
Agreed. Good set for flat sound
Oh, forgot to add, the 7506’s have been voted the #1 favorite headphone by the NYTimes staff for 7 yrs in a row. That’s impressive.
In the 90’s I worked sonar on a submarine, the V6’s were the gold standard. We had to solder up an adapter to hook them up to the console but it was worth it for the comfort and fidelity gained. The sound of whales, shrimp and everything else out there was fascinating in those cans. The MDR-V600’s that came out next were pale by comparison.
When I first got the MDR7605 headphones I thought they were pretty lackluster… until I put my gaming headphones back on. The MDR7605 has a very flat response and for good reason, they are extremely accurate and will quickly point out the deficiencies in any other headphones you have.
We use these in lab for building/testing synths and they’re great
The NYT is a newspaper, not an expert in headphones.
