Bought a cheap one from Amazon and ended up returning it. I’d love to try this before I spank this amount of $$$.

Try watching some of the reviews videos on Amazon that are linked on the Specs page for a better explanation than this. But from what I understand, it actually does have a cooling/warming plate in addition to fans.
