This is a really nice price for this camera. I have one personally and bought it new (body only) for $900 a few months after it came out. This is the newest version of this caliber from Nikon. It has the newest processor and is has WiFi and GPS built in and both they work decently for their size.

TONS of near perfect reviews (4.8 out of 5.0) over at bestbuy.com

Looks like you’ll save about $100 here, vs. buying a similarly refurbished setup from Adorama.

Seems to be only $20 cheaper than amazon.

New on Amazon for 20.00 more w/ free shipping.

Don’t do it. Took a similar woot on this and the camera didn’t last a month. Nikons repair service almost cost the entire price of the camera.

Caveat emptor on this one people. Cameras are just too mechanical to be bought refurbed.

That is not new on Amazon for $599, that is for a factory refurb. Take the time to read description before you post incorrect comps.

Remember when Woot deals were “Wow, that’s cheap!”

A year ago Woot had the previous model D5200, also refurbished, at $599; nowadays it sells for $429 at buydig/beach camera (via ebay), and they throw in a copy of Lightroom 5 to boot! I’ll just keep on waiting for a better deal on it, which should happen as soon as the D5400 hits the market, and that one is coming right around the corner.

Great camera. Price seems to be good.

Keep in mind, for about $120 more, you can buy new from Nikon’s sale w/2 lenses, full warranty, and a couple of extras.

But, if you are price sensitive, Woot seems like a good deal.

Why buy reconditioned if you can buy new for $10 to $30 more. Check this link out

Did I miss something or are there absolutely no photos shown of the back side of this camera?

No shots of the buttons, display screen, power or cable inputs, none of that stuff.

Was that just an “oops!” oversight or was that done on, shall we say, purpose?

I went to Nikon’s site, could you link to the 2 lens deal for ~$700? The only two lens deal for a D5300 I see is their “Holiday Bundle” for $999.

90 day warranty on a DSLR is a sin. I have had issues with Samsung woot last year. Though they fixed it free of charge. But still…

Love the camera but I think the thing that was supposed to be fixed at the refurb shop got missed. the display only works half the time and I get Shutter error plus live view takes a couple of times turning it on and off to come up. sorely disappointed. Have to send it back for its 90 warranty. Never worked right straight out of the box. :frowning: should have read comments box…
