Curious how high does it sit when flipped up to save counter space?
I know it’s at least the length of machine but hinges or whatever they would be called is it quite a bit taller folded up?
Considering buying it, but would like to read some reviews. However, I can’t seem to find it anywhere on the internet. E.g., the Model SP201 on Amazon is only an 8-in1, not 10-in-1, and seems to have different buttons on the control panel. Ninja’s site doesn’t even have a Model SP201. The 10-in-1 models I can find are labeled as Model FT205, with button configurations that match this Woot offering (but again, it’s not on the Ninja website).
Can anybody help with this? Any ideas other than saving my $89.99 plus tax? Thanks!
Edit after reading the reviews on Costco: Not buying.
Looks like this is the version sold at Costco.
Yes! Awesome. Thanks, Beffinger. (Although it’s listed as the FT205, it sure looks the same.)
I’m not certain it’s the same chassis, but the one I bought here last year was a SP251Q, and it’s is 15" tall when folded up against the wall.
That said, it’s marketed as the 10-in-1 countertop XL, so it may be larger, though the listed food capabilities look identical.
Costco bunch of bananas for scale.
I have this same air fryer (from Costco, paid $179.99) and it flips up to be just under 15" tall. You’ll also need about 5 1/2" clearance from the wall in order to flip it up. Another caveat is that this model doesn’t feature the bottom door for cleaning, so it’s difficult to get inside to clean.
Otherwise, this thing is great, we use it all the time, makes food crispy and delicious. Definitely recommended!
On a related note, I have the SP301, which is similar to this (they’re on the same product page - although I think the Woot item may be an upgraded variant of the SP201). I’ve been very happy with this device and use it almost on a daily basis (sorry, oven). It’s really nice, although I recommend staying on top of cleaning it.
I use the old SP100 almost every day, and I like it a lot. Preheats superfast. The new one has more space, which is really nice. As mentioned above, you do need an extra inch from the back to flip it up. I would totally buy this newer one if the old one wasn’t still running strong. And this price is insane at $89.99. Attaching a pic of the old smaller one flipped up for reference. I think the dimensions are about the same except for the height.
How easy is it to clean? I have a Cuisinart digital air fryer and the top is nearly impossible to clean (the coils and fan prevent you from scrubbing well).
This is the only site that mentions the convection part. Am I missing something?
I previoisly had the thinner version of this and loved it and traded up to this higher capacity one that’s a couple of inches taller inside. This quickly became my go to appliance for almost everything. It performs all its functions well and has very easy interface, 4 buttons, power, function, time and temp. Same process for all functions, with number of slices and shade substitute when toasting.
Cleaning it is not too bad, I did put a silicone mat on the bottom which slides out for cleaning. The element covers do get yucky but can be wiped off.
Anyone know if this is non stick?
The only thing that looks nonstick is the drip tray
Nothing is non-stick with the one I just got from Woot.
