I think it would benefit Woot to give some details on refurbishing process for each item. Especially items that touch food, ears, etc.
If this guaranteed that only sterile parts were refused, I’d probably leap at it.
I’m very annoyed at how far this has dropped in price in comparison to when I first purchased

is the difference between the Professional and the non-Pro just that it includes the two cups? or is there something different with the unit itself?
Yes, AFAIK. It’s not like the Thirsti where the higher unit has mechanical differences (and frustratingly, is now absent from the market).
Here is a video comparing the original with this model. Youtuber Make and Drink claims they are pretty much identical except for the tank.
The original only has an 88 ounce tank. To accommodate the larger tank, this also has a slightly taller shell than the original. Mind you, the fill line for each model is lower than the tank size to accommodate expansion. The original fills up at 64 ounces, whereas this fills up to 74 ounces. That translates to a 15% difference in capacity. There are also other subtle refinements to the tank. The new model’s tank is easier to clean because it lacks an unreachable plastic fold, and has a larger mouth for easier filling.
Now if having the absolute maximum capacity in a single machine is of import to you, Ninja also makes a Max model with a 150 ounce tank (and a 114 ounce fill line), but at $400 on Ninja’s website (discounted from a $500 M.S.R.P.) you might as well buy two of these. Not only because you can probably make more slush with two of these (74x2=148), but also because you could make two kinds of slush at once instead of just one.
If you have the original, this new pro model probably is not a worthwhile upgrade, but if you have a choice between this and the original, get this one because it is somewhat refined and much cheaper with woot’s pricing.
In any case, the reason I’m here is to remind people that there is a matching bag available to consider:
I mean $20 is pretty expensive for just a fairly basic nylon tote, but this one should be about the right size to carry it and you have that matching brand name swagger for if you are bringing it to a party.
Received mine, liquid from the barrel pours out of the front of the unit. No way this was tested. checked gaskets are installed, it does not seal.
