No response from woot for my order return request mail and message from app. Shall I choose self return for the item with lithium ion battery?

I want to return an item with lithium ion battery in it. I tried to contact Woot customer care via their app and separate emails but no response yet. Shall I use Woot self return? Please suggest if anyone else also faced such issue. Thanks.

Hello. Looks like CS sent you an RMA yesterday morning. Just needed to be a bit more patient.

This may sound dumb but I am REALLY new to woot, (so “new" that I didn’t know that I evidently have previously purchased from Woot before about a year ago) so imagine my surprise when I go to signup and it states I already have a account via Amazon and not only did I already have a account but actually had a purchase history :anguished_face: !!! Now a few days ago when I was purchasing, (what i thought was my 1st purchase :face_with_spiral_eyes:) I purchased two items on accident (by adding them to my cart as I continued to browse the site). LONG STORY SHORT In addition to the Original poster’s question, I am now trying to return the items from the accidental checkout :woman_facepalming: (NOT KNOWING THERE IS NO “NEXT PAGE" TO ENTER MY PAYMENT DETAILS BECAUSE IT AUTOMATICALLY TIED TO MY AMAZON PAYMENT OPTIONS) and after hours of going down the MANYYY woot rabbit holes :weary_face: I found out, in order to return the item I have to verify “yes or no” to a question of if my returning item contains/has Lithium or ion battery….and i’m ashamed to admit that I have no idea if it does or not.
Its a Irobot spray mop…

  • Im guessing lithium is something that may blow up while shipping, so I want to say “NO” because it didnt blow up getting shipped TO me :woman_shrugging:
  • I instantly think of “batteries” when seeing “lithium ion battery”, so again I want to answer “NO” because it do not require me to add in any batteries :thinking:
  • But then again, I think back to “blowing up” if overheated :worried: because it IS a electronic item that has a “recharging station" :anxious_face_with_sweat: :persevering_face:
    so please, anybody thay may know more, PLEASE…

can someone help me by explaining if the IRobot WiFi mop is considered a item that cant be returned because it’s a item with lithium ion battery

Hello. Most things that are rechargeable have Li-Ion batteries. It can still be returned to us but you need go through customer service (as opposed to self-return) so they can send along the proper box labeling.

I was searching for a customer service number but I have yet to find a legit number. Is there a number that I can contact directly? I tried to refund both items that were purchased in error but it only let me report ONE. How do I speak with customer service about both items and returning? I read somewhere that it stated if it is a Li-ion batteries that I would have to pay out of pocket for returning, is that true?
Secondly the other item I was charged for, after hours of searching my amazon account for a transaction # that matches the amount my card was charged, I found out that it only shows on the Woot app NOT AMAZON,EVEN THOUGH THATS WHERE THEY GOT MY PAYMENT METHOD FROM. When i FINALLY the order under my woot account I tried to cancel it IMMEDIATLEY and thats when I found out (the hard way) of the 2 hour limitation that woot has :astonished_face: :confounded_face: I was 7 mins passed the 2 hour window,and still learning as I went along. I remember writing or submitting a request to cancel these items but never got a response. This second item STILL has not been sent to me. Which is why i’m so shocked as to why I was unable to cancel it. They made it seem like it was already out to be shipped or a EXPEDITED order that could not for any reason be canceled, as if I would be getting it the next day or something :flushed_face: (Keep in mind this errored purchase was made on the 26th) yet here we are 4days later and STILL haven’t gotten it delivered :tired_face:. :dotted_line_face:
How do I stop all of these issues at once?

  • It wont let me cancel one order because I had to track down and investigate how a charge from one app pops up from another app and after panicking and researching, it just so happen I was 7 minutes past a 2 hour deadline that i never knew existed.
  • STILL wont let me cancel even though I requested it to be canceled immediatley after I found it.
  • 4days later still no delivery which proves it wasn’t a urgent delivery or expedited order of some sort. Yet i was still denied a cancelation as if it was a next day air order and now nearly 5 days have passed and I STILL dont have the option of canceling.
  • I hope I can “return the item” WHEN it FINALLY arrives. I hope i dont have to pay anything out of pocket due to its weight.
  • The other order seems to be some kind of battery issue that may cost me even more to send back.
  • Unable to contact customer service to have any of this fixedd or addressed. When I chose the email option I was unable to address both issues. One gives a error saying I would have to print a label and send it back and once the item is received back THEEEEN I may be refunded but shipping fee is subject to be taken out of my refund :flushed_face: :anguished_face:
  • NOT TO MENTION ALL OF THIS WAS FROM A PURCHASE THAT WAS IN ERROR AND UNBEKNOWNST TO ME.
    Can you please lead me to a customer service number or contact where I can tackle all of this at once and get my credit card balance corrected. I am truly drained from all of this, and honestly afraid to purchase anything again :worried: :anxious_face_with_sweat:

Always use the support form. If phone customer service is available, it will show there.

Please allow 24-48h for them to respond.

Browser: Use the Woot! Customer Service form.

Woot! App: Choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.


We generally provide a pre-paid return UPS label as long as you don’t abuse our generosity.


We use Amazon Pay for payments the same as many other retailers. If you are on this site, you are ordering from Woot.

Yes, there is a 2-hour self-cancelation window. After that, the orders are released for processing. It’s not possible for us to locate the order to request a cancelation. In this case, it’s shipping from Amazon and they have a gazillion warehouses across the US. Which one would we contact? Which person or robot on the floor has your order? So even though it hasn’t shipped, it’s too far down the process to stop.

You can reach out to Woot customer service to return it if you choose.

As to receiving the item, with Amazon Prime, you get free shipping on Woot. You do not necessarily get fast shipping. In the case of Amazon, we have to wait on them to ship it.
