Are these polarized? If so, Real3D or IMAX?

Check out the model specific features for each pair. We state whether or not they’re polarized there.

Anyone know if these will fit a fat head? I couldn’t find size specs anywhere.

I had some Gascans about 6 years ago with fire iridium lenses. One warning, they don’t float. I was at a lake and was pushed into the water. The water was so cold that I flung my neck back in shock and my glasses flew off. I couldn’t find them… they sank into the lake out of view. I miss those shades, but since I’ve seen several other people starting to wear them, I’ve shied off of buying another pair. I also noticed some convenient stores selling Gascan knockoffs for $10, the exact same mold without the O logo and of course cheap lenses. The lenses in this offering look a little underwhelming for the price.

I have a pair of the matte black Gascans with polarized lenses. I’ve had them for a couple of years, and I love them.

If it was a better deal, I’d snag another pair as a back up. Too bad.

I have a fairly wide head, and mine fit very comfortably. They don’t pinch at all.

Agree. I paid this same price in a Sunglass Hut 2 years ago to replace a polarized version I had before (which met their fate in a river as they don’t float and I foolishly let them fall off my face). But Sunglass Hut isn’t know for it’s stellar prices, so I feel like I am missing something with the deal here…

I’ve had a pair of Gascan sunglasses with the polarized lenses for at least 5 years now. They are great glasses, and I wear them regularly. The only pair I like better are my Maui Jim’s.
If you need a pair of glasses, these are great. Plus, they look sharp.

I really like the Gascans, but after shipping and taxes, you’re only saving $10. Not a great deal

2005 called…they want their white sunglasses back

Be aware: these are not polarized. 100% UV protection does not mean polarization. These will not reduce glare. When paying this much for glasses, there’s no reason not to be polarized. I love Oaklies, but there’s not enough bang for the buck.

Take a look at the sale’s heat map. Looks like 2005 is finally hitting midwest. Fifteen years from now, they’ll probably make it to Russia.

Returnable?

The sizes are in the Specs tab.

Key words are “cheap lenses.” I have a pair of polarized Gascans I got about a year ago. I also own a few cheap pairs of sunglasses. Oakley lenses are far superior to any cheap lenses you can get. I find it most noticable when not in direct sunlight. For example, going in and out of the garage with cheap sunglasses I have to take them off to see well in the garage, vs quality lenses that will provide good image quality regardless of brightness.
