Got a Bandit 17 last time they were on here a couple weeks ago, and I’m very pleased with it. Numerous well-placed pockets, construction/seams appear to be good, overall design is solid, and multiple lined pockets are a plus. Straps feel different tha**n my other backpacks, but not uncomfortable.
15s are only $2 less than 17s even though MSRP is $20 less, so not as good of a deal there, but probably still decent if you were looking anyway and you like the available colors.
OGIO, if you are reading this, please put some type of loop or clip near the water bottle pouch that you can clip your water bottle to. Bottles, especially when empty, have a tendency to fall out of those pouches and not be noticed.

I’m not sure what you mean, do you have an example from one you’re looking at?

I think I figured it out. the posted dimensions for the 17 are 20x13.5x8 inches = 2160 cubic inches but it lists 2000 as the volume. I think the dims are outside dimensions and the volume must be estimated from that for the inside.
Bought the grey one with the horizontal straps for a trip to Europe. I was very happy with it - it offered great capacity considering it still fit within carry on dimensions.
The small sternum strap actually helped take some of the pressure off my back because I stuffed it very, very full clothes and the electronics I needed plus souvenirs I purchased.
