If you get this as your first digital camera, make sure you get a good quality memory card. The last thing you want to happen is to have a slow or too small memory card keep you from getting that one in a million shot.

I have had several Olympus point and shoots and loved them all. I actually purchased their nicest one on the market and was extremely happy!! I have been so happy with them my 1st DSLR was also an Olympus.

Nice camera, but the “fe” on the front may lend itself towards the female photographers IMO, But nice value for a point and shoot.

The price for this is pretty “notsogood”… unless you’ve been waiting for this specific camera in this specific color I think you’re better off getting something else…

Six good reviews and one bad, and in the bad review it doesn’t seem like the reviewer had even tried the camera.

I wouldn’t expect DSLR quality at this price but it’s not bad for a 12MP point-and-shoot, my main problem is that I have no xD cards, only SDHC and μSDHC. That and I just bought a similar Fuji point-and-shoot last year.

I have the Olympus FE-4000. Terrible camera. I should have never bought it. Worst quality even at highest resolution. If this camera is anything like its sister camera, then stay clear.

I used to be a fan of Olympus and still have several, good for outdoors but only the high end ones have optical image stabilization (not this one either!). Personally I wouldn’t buy a camera without this even though it might be tough to find one for under $100. I’d check out the low end Panasonic models.
