The hits just keep on coming …

I have one of these. Very unstable and the software that has to run on a networked PC just sucks plain and simple. Not recommended if you really plan on using it to listen to music, although for $60, it might be fun to mess around with.

I bought one with car reciver for $150. Not bad if you can get one. You have to have their software running and keep a seperate library.

If anybody wants one of these I have a new one that came with my rockford fosgate kit. I have the wifi adapter, original unit, original box etc. And it’d be cheaper than 60 bucks shipped

I wouldnt bother staying up for this one, this product has already been discontinued, mainly because of problems with its unupgradeable firmware. But also because it doesnt work with iTunes. Also, even though its called a “Digital Media Streamer”, dont let that make you think that it can stream video, its an audio only device. But you might have some fun playing around with it. Just make sure you get the wireless adapter for it off fleabay, as it doesnt come with it.

I bought this off Amazon recently (the rockford fosgate kit) at woot prices - and must take up for the product (the bundled kit) but only if someone is actually still reading this blog forum as it sold out quicker due to potentially buggy woot-off operation and I might be just talking to myself.

Anyway, if anyone was thinking about getting any of the Omnifi DMP1, DMS1, or both anytime soon and wants to hear some honest positive + negative feedback combined, lemme know and I’ll post more.

( I will say one thing - the discontinued and firmware issues were a real bummer to discover after purchase )

How do I buy it?

It’s coming. Just wait for it. (If you want to speed it up, buy two or three of the Sony Cameras.)

this one looks good…

i had no idea that you could see what was COMING before it was even up! wow, i gave up at that toaster. looksl ike i shouldn’t have eaten dinner.

Or you could convince the wife that if you spend about $240 more then you can get one of these that also plays movies and video games.
(Excuse for an Xbox 360) hehe

No, you normally can’t.

Woot was having server issues which caused 3 or 4 items in a row to sell out automatically…but they’ve fixed the error and the items that “sold out” are now back for real.

Usually you can’t see what is next. This is a rare exception. Woot got a little confused after the toaster finally went away.

i thought i could see in to the future…maybe not.

Seeing into the future is the easy part. Understand what you see is a whole lot more difficult.

I remember this happening in previous woot-offs, sometimes they acknowledge it in the item write up. Those kooky Woots!

Well I’ll say this, the past 30 hours have been an experience. Stayed up for the start of the woot-off and have been up ever since. I squeezed in an hour or two during the breadmaker and toaster woot-off killers, but otherwise have been running on reserves. I’ve yet to actually pick up any of these woots (wasn’t fast enough on the bag of crap, and the wireless logitech keyboard/mouse), but I have hope I’ll find something sooner or later. Meanwhile though I’ve come to really learn a lot about woot and it’s members. This is definitely a site and community I’ve really come to enjoy spending time with. Be it woot’s sense of humor with the bag of crap items, or excellent write-ups, or the crazy fanatical haiku writing members that really fuel the site, it’s all so awesome. I can officially say I’m a woot addict for life now. Keep them coming Woot, bring it on! (and for the love of pete get a big enough bandwidth pipe to sneak me in on a woot or two :D).
