open-boxed iphone with scratched on the back

I ordered an iphone 11 in woot, which is my first purchase in this website. I’m so frustrated by the experience. The iphone came with cracks on the back and the packaging seems like opened, so it’s not an brand new iphone. And the returning is also hard, the only customer service is by email. I will dispute this order through my credit card company if I can return this.
I will NEVER order ANYTHING in this website in my life. Highly recommend others not use this website.

I’m sure that the good folks here will take care of you. It may take an extra day or so to get escalated. The email only first level of CS helps keep costs down which is probably part of why you were able to get a good deal on that iPhone 11.

You would probably have better results posting this on the chat thread for the actual item you purchased…

If you go to the actual phone sale page, look for the “discuss this deal” button:

Was the phone advertised as New In Box? Or was it refurbished?

“Open box” does not mean the same thing here as it does with eBay. (And even there it’s pretty much inconsistent.) Here, it generally means that the product is out of the box for some reason, a return, a demo, refurbed, Etc. Etc…

It doesn’t generally mean “new” unless it says “new” in the product description. The fact that you’ve already mentioned that the unit was “open box” in your title makes me suspicious as to its “new” status… unless it was just “new” to you.

In most cases, You will be able to return it. So don’t panic. It feels like you’re panicking. So take a deep breath and as the others have already mentioned, go to the customer service section and let them know what’s going on.

To get to the discussion page for your item as previously mentioned, review your order online and click on the item. It will take you to the place where you originally saw your item. From there, as already mentioned, you can find its discussion page.

Also understand that most of the people who use this site regularly, know that generally the products being sold here have some type of… um… unusualness about them. As a new user, you probably saw this phone come up in an internet search, saw what you thought was a super price, and quickly made the purchase without reading all of the details about the phone. It happens. The people with this company will work with you.

If you haven’t already, you can reach out to Woot! Customer Service for a return.

From a browser, use the Woot! Customer Service form.

In the Woot! App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.

Also, as was already pointed out, it’s much better to post in the thread of the deal. It’s easy to find out whether the unit was sold new, open box, refurbished, etc. Thanks.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
