Here’s the instruction manual: http://www.orbitonline.com/lib/media/57962-24%20rE_210729.pdf
DON’T make it the one you stick outside, it’s indoor only. I’m on my third and last Orbit timer in three years. They really only last a year!
I’m sure it’s not a recommended use but could I use the car wash soap attachment for fertilizer for my garden? Anyone done this?
I came here to ask the same thing! Seemas reasonable to assume you could.
You COULD use it for that but the problem is you would have no clue what application rate you’d be getting. You might apply so much that it kills everything (grass included) or so little that nothing dies.
Go buy a hose-end sprayer that’s calibrated and meant to be used with weed/pest chemical applications. You can get a good dial hose-end sprayer for $10-15 and it will match up with your weed/bug killer of choice so you know where to put the settings.
For example, here’s one - http://www.amazon.com/Gilmour-362-Professional-Pre-Mix-Sprayer/dp/B00002N67I and here’s another - http://www.amazon.com/Gilmour-Select-Pre-Mix-Sprayer-499/dp/B000DCNAPC/ref=sr_1_2?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1367343091&sr=1-2&keywords=gilmour+hose+end+sprayer
Aluminum Slimline Turbine Oscillator… has North Korea started selling off overstock reactor parts, or is that a sprinkler?
Those are good links but I’m not killing anything, I just want to apply fertilizer. It’ll be a mild application, it’s just a raised back yard garden.
Would like to know if the 5 piece wand and sprayer are plastic or metal?
I have a similar set that I bought at Sam’s a couple of years ago. It is a pretty heavy duty set. I believe that it is mostly metal; some parts of it are plastic (e.g., rotating spray head and grip on handle). I have had no issues with it and would buy it again if I needed another set. I’ve dropped it plenty of times, and nothing has broken. I use it at least a couple of times a week when it’s warm.
Looks like Harbor Freight+Big Lots here! Seen these products many times.
These are much better prices than HF’s website shows. BL doesn’t have anything comparable online.
I say go for it.
I just bought the Orbit 36" Soft Touch Shower Wand at Lowes for $12.00,the same price, NO SHIPPING. I am getting leery of the pricing of Woot.
I wonder if you could use this to wash windows?
That’s why I got one (window screens) even though the soap thingy is rather small.
If you still have one in the stock , please contact me, I want to buy it
You’ll kill everything by OVERfertilizing by accident. You may want a “mild application”, but you have no idea if it is or not, and you have no control over that. That’s why you need something that’s designed for fertilizing. This ain’t.
Careful though, the one I received didn’t work out of the box. Air leak around the pressure gauge so it wouldn’t hold pressure. Return or repair would have cost more than I paid (or wasted as it turns out) in the first place.
