Totally not cool. However, you can try planting them anyway. Seeds keep a long time as long as they’re stored in a cool, dry, dark place. Once you get a good pepper you can save those seeds for next year. Also, if they all happen to be duds you can buy an organic pepper from the grocery store and use its seeds.
