Scrub bag… nice idea. But not as good as a boy scout washing machine. You get one of those Home Depot 5 gal buckets w/lid. Go to the dollar store and buy a toilet plunger. Cut a hole in the top of the lid (center) to stick the handle of the plunger through. Fill bucket half way with water and a little detergent. Put in dirty items to water line. Close lid plunge away! Liquid detergent works best. Don’t forget to conserve water, wash a few loads before you rinse. Rinse works the same way, just without the detergent.

Yeah, there’s a number of ways to get clothes clean in the boonies - I don’t think a $50 bag is the answer, even if it has all the scrubbing capability. I’d maybe be more interested at $25…

The Scrubba is pretty cool. I’ve used it on multi-day treks when staying in primitive huts and tents. It has come in handy to wash away some stink and dirt from the minimalist wardrobe. From experience I can say that it’s a heckuva lot easier to use than finding a bucket and something to scrub with/on while traveling in areas that don’t offer access to laundry facilities.

I agree that it is expensive. However, I’ve never seen it on sale before, and I’ve not seen any commercial duplications. It can be a regular light-duty dry bag when not being used as a clothes washer.

Try carrying around a bucket and plunger when backpacking.

It looks like a waterproof stuff sack (minus the inside scrubbers) - wonder if you can wash clothes with it.

I’m kinda surprised that the CRKT Guppie is still available…it sold out in the morning when it was a prime Woot…but it’s just languishing here. Too bad. I got four.

Question RE the Machete for Woot Staff or anyone who knows for sure!

When Woot says 18" blade does that mean 18" extending out from the TOP of the handle?

or

Does that mean 18" in total machete length with some of that 18" being included inside the handle and riveted??

Unless woot! Changed the description, I only see where it states 18 inch machete. My guess, is a 6 inch handle, with a 12 inch blade, for an overall length of 18 inches. The tang does seem to be the full length of the blade and handle though.

Just got the LED Lenser P5.1. That thing is TINY! And it’s bright as heck for something that small!

Dunno if you went for it, but I did. In case it comes back around - The blade is just under 18". Then almost 6" handle so in total it’s just under 24" long.
