I doubt you would save much, if any, money, not to mention your time. These are well-made and, IMHO, are well worth the money.

Negative. The Amazon one looks like a far lesser quality, from the single joist attachments to the single-point connections to the actual rack. I wouldn’t trust this one to hold 1/4 of the ones Woot is selling.

I just came by to point out that the write-up should refer to “high-water mark” not “high watermark”. I know the Woot writers pride themselves on painstaking attention to detail.

Agreed - I’ve got two up in my garage already and bought a third the last time these were on sale. They are great and fairly easy to install. Well worth the money.

Done my own. Cost $28 for two sets. Total 4 hours plus visit to home depot.
The woot price is the regular price the 4x4 sells at HD

Not just looks; I have one of this and I can vouch that it is much cheaper in quality. Tiny tab mount and sways easily in both directions. The rating is probably its breaking point as opposed to a safe load.

I paid $15 for it from Goodwill, new in box, and still felt regret.
