Sooo…is this a better version of the one that breaks easily or just leftovers? It looks great but isn’t much good if it breaks the first day. I see someone has a file for 3D printing a replacement part but I would like one the company stands behind and is well made enough to be played with!

Bought one of these last Christmas and it caught on fire while sitting on the counter shortly after we used it. The circuit board overheated and melted. It was not even being charged at the time. Got a full refund. Sometimes you get a lemon on refurbished products.

Yah, I was gonna ask, isn’t this the gizmo where they made the jumping schtick the whole gimmick, but manufactured it such that the jumping bit breaks when it actually jumps?

QUALITY CONTROL FTMFW.

I thought it was this version that was prone to issue.

Got one of these last time it was on here for my nephews. It’s fun to play with, and they jumped it all over the house for weeks. It did not however stand up to having one of the wheels stepped on by a clumsy aunt. The axle bent up and even if I could replace the wheel I’m not sure it’s repairable.

I too read about the jumping piece breaking, but in a house with hardwood floors, a dog, and a 5 and 8 year old, it held up fine.

Bought one for my kid for Christmas and has never worked. Doesn’t do a thing

Wow. Some great reviews here for this product… if it’s going to set fire at least let us stand on the thing and ride it

Does anyone know if there is a way to remotely control this through an internet connection? Like if it is at home and I am at work.

As far as I can tell you have to be connected to the wifi signal that the sumo puts out. So if I run it all over the house and the signal is weak it won’t work very good… (around 30 feet)
