But seriously, while the Pentax dSLRs are terrific, (I have the K100d and K20d,) I’ve never used one of the P&S versions.

Great budget camera! I got one about 6 months ago. It’s definitely not pro or even intermediate quality though. Be especially wary of the flash range…

Very good price!

I have a Pentax A30 I bought last year from Amazon for $130. And that was only 10 mp!

Pictures have been clear and awesome for me.

There’s nothing wrong with Pentax. I would take it 10 times over anything Kodak has to offer.

Great Price! Too bad I bout a Pentax on woot 2 weeks ago for $109 that was only 8mp!!! Woot should have a swop policy if they put the same product/better one up for cheaper within a month!

Do they really want to know about my last dream? Bin Laden had been shrunk down to about 1.5" tall and was living in a box in my bedroom. I called the FBI who called the USAF who sent in an airstrike. The bomb, about the size of a pea, managed to pass through my roof and land in Bin Laden’s box. I woke up before it went off. Perhaps this means I should buy a new digital camera.

Sorry, but Pentax is a reputable brand in the pro space. Admittedly their reputation in consumer space is less known, but they make some good cameras - far better than some of the other offerings.

And to put them in the class of the ‘Flip’ is down right ignorant.

Disclaimer: I don’t work for Pentax but I do own their products as well as their competitors. For $119, this is a good quality camera.
