This is a great camera. One of my favorites. Battery life is good. Takes good pictures. The face recognition works decently. Sometimes takes an extra second or so to identify the face and take the picture.

batteries…forget that. not worth it.
When i switched to a recharagble version not only could i take 3 times more pics…didnt blow money on batteries.

Hooray woot!

I’ve been waiting for these to come back ever since mine arrived cracked and woot “ran out” of replacements, but oddly had enough for the wootoff… Anyway, we finally have our pink Pentax back! …assuming THIS one doesn’t show up cracked too. :=)

Megapixels are getting ridiculously high these days. Lens size (and of course this one is tiny) has much more bearing on how “good” the photo will look. Although with 10mp, you could probably enlarge a photo to cover your whole house and it would not look distorted at least… otherwise there’s no reason you need that much MEGA.

I’m not a fan of AA batteries in a camera, but can anybody vouch for this brand of camera?

Eh. My friends has this camera. It’s ok. Not the most user-friendly, but good none-the-less.

I bought the Pentax Optio A40 12 MP from woot in Jan, for like $100 or something? Like it.

The A40 has good anti shakey stuff, and my only peeve, is that it dosen’t have a widescreen shooting mode. Other than that, it’s not a miracle worker, but it gets the job done.

The model woot is selling today is the E60, so your milage may vary.

I have this exact same camera except branded under a different name, so I’m wondering if mine the real deal or the cloned one or if it just has a different name… either way, it takes photos exceptionally well for a just under $100 camera. I mean, it’s no Canon Powershot, Kodak, etc. by far in being top of the line, but if you need a nice daily use pocket sized camera that you don’t have to swap a bunch of lenses on (those super professional ones for catch each frame of a butterfly slipping off a leaf, or a raindrop dancing in the wind
