This is comically overpriced and obsolete. I5 6500? Good grief!

Comically overpriced is definitely not accurate… if you price out all the components to build this system today, you’re going to spend at least $650 (going with the cheapest options I could find). And yes, the CPU is pretty old, and won’t support Windows 11 natively… but obsolete? I still have a handful of folks using old HP desktops with 4th & 5th gen Intel CPUs running Windows 10 in our warehouse just fine. It all really depends on what you use/need it for as to whether it’s “obsolete” or not.

3050 is hardly a workstation, definitely not a gaming PC D:

Still a number of 2nd and 3rd gen machines at my work here. They still do what they need to do – which for those users, is primarily looking up info and emails. Several did get BIOS mods so they can directly boot on NVMe, though.

+1. Over the decades, I still see too much “if a computer won’t work out for my needs, it must suck”. Manufacturers not including a SSD is still inexcusable, however!

(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
