yikes. reviews of this at the mothership site are not positive. the question is how good a job did they do with the refurb part.

I got one of these in a bag of crap recently, it was another woot customers return. When using it to play BluRays it had a slight hum to it, but seemed to stream netflix etc. just fine. Ended up selling to a buddy of mine so he could give it to his mom to use for netflix and she uses it daily.

Mine worked exactly three times before permanently freezing to the menu background. Holding down the power button or unplugging it didn’t do anything. I just e-mailed support to see what they can do.
