It will, but it gives you the airplane mode dialog box on the iPhone. I’ve had no problems with mine, though. YMMV.
What does this mean?
Is this the same box that you can just press “Close” so that airplane mode will not be on?

I bought one of these simply for the fact that it has an RF remote. It does not have to be line-of-sight like IR remotes do. This way I can connect my ipod to my whole house audio system and control it from anywhere in the house
It does it charge the iPod/iPhone when on the dock right?

Will the remote control all my other IR devices by re-transmitting the radio signal via IR, or do I have to be line-of-sight for everything other than the iPod?

No, the RF is just between the iPod dock and the remote.
so, does this play audio through a tv? I don’t have external speakers right now, and i notice it includes a video cable, but will audio come out of the tv as well?

If you hook it up to the audio input on your tv you should be able to play it through your tv. The 3.5mm to RCA Audio/Video Cable it comes with is really all you need to do that.
