I bought a refurb from Woot 2 or 3 (or 4?) years ago. It’s a really nice machine and this is a better deal cuz it’s less money and it comes with more shaping disks. It does a great job making pasta quickly and easily and it’s easy to clean. My biggest complaint is that the top is fragile. I’ve broken one and my second is cracked.

I bought the previous model a year or two ago on a previous woot (looks to be identical aside from the colour and the included measuring cups), and every time it comes up I recomend it - it’s simply amazing.

It is super easy to use, super easy to clean, and makes great pasta with only minimal effort on my part in 10min.

If you’re interested in a thorough review, I wrote it up on my blog here: http://epicurean.nirdvana.com/philips-healthy-cook-hr235705-avance-collection-pasta-maker/

just bought one less than a month ago on woot for 220.00 does woot do price adjusting?

Philips makes a very similar machine that they sell in Asia as an automatic noodle maker for Udon, etc. Are there settings on this that would let you make that type of noodle automatically? Would the disks that shape those noodles work on this?

Ebay has this for 224.00 with free shipping and no tax…

Yes, the recipe book has Udon noodles and there is a disk for them. You will have to hunt for the Japanese Noodle kit. It has disks for Raman and Udon.

Thanks!

I haven’t bought anything from Woot in years, but I pulled the trigger and picked up one of these. Years ago I had a Ronco pasta maker that was awesome, unfortunately I didn’t get it in the divorce. Hopefully this unit is just as good (though double what I paid for that one).

I couldn’t find this on eBay for $224, but with tax and shipping this one from Woot came to $221, so not a big deal.
