Hmm, good?

This is actually a pretty good webcam. I’ve been impressed with mine, which I got off woot about a year ago.

Alatest has a few reviews on this webcam. They seem ot be decent…

Doesn’t look half bad, especially for the price. I’m tempted to pick up a few for family members and try to get them up on video chat.

Is it USB Video Class? (That is to say, does it work with Linux?)

Does anybody know if this works with Vista 64-bit edition?

Hmmm. So, in other words…Old model, Old Technology. Cant’t beat the price though.

Philips has a FAQ answer about linux. No official support but it does have a link. Here is a link to their FAQ page. [link]http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=SPC315NC/00&scy=MY&slg=en#[/link]

I can’t make mine work with vista

wait, did they even make 500mhz pentium 2’s? i thought they only went to 450

Do I have to use skype service? Can I use google chat?

Overclock it?

Yes you can!

You can use whatever chat service you want. This is America after all.

Will this webcam work with Vista… i am not sure whether i have 32 bit or 64 bit… I think it will but need to know before I buy web cam!!

Does it have a built-in microphone or is the headset required?

no microphone - headset isn’t required. you can use your own mic.
