Walmart Reviews

Two good one not so good review over at The O

I bought a similar setup (Philips)a couple of years ago and paid aroung $180 for it. It was not the best quality. I cannot see how this one could even be adequate for this price…

The one here on Woot is refurbished, hence the price.

Here it is new: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007B5WIJ8/

Save your money on this one. I purchased a similar, older Phillips model from Best Buy years back. It was marginally acceptable audio quality and the base unit (DVD) stopped working after 11 months. Having a 12 month warranty, I only had to pay for shipping (which was over $50! - such a deal). I sucked it up and repaired it and got a couple more years out of it before it died again. It has now been replaced by an awesome set of a Klipsch surround speakers and an even more awesome Oppo BluRay player. Pay a little more and get quality.

Phillips = junk = pass.
