Is it just me or is this the Captain Philips of all woot-offs?

Crap Chinese electronics are always better the second time 'round.

For those who may not be able to see the back that well:

1 - AC Power
2 - Speakers
Includes: front right, front left, front center, rear right, rear left, sub woofer
3 - FM Antenna
4 - Audio in (composite)
5 - Video Out (composite)
6 - HDMI Out
7 - LAN
8 - Optical in
9 - Coaxial in

Stupid question from someone who knows nothing about this kind of stuff - are the surround sound speakers on this thing wireless?

Gracias!

Bare in mind… this is just a BD player with an almost decent audio amplifier, cased car speakers and an FM tuner. Would probably do fine in a dorm or a guest bedroom… not as a quality home theater… not even close.

No. If they were I would probably buy this…not that I am super lazy or anything, but it is much easier to just have the wireless speaker connections than running wires throughout the room.

Power Consumption: 60W

Total system output 300W

B.S. on wattage 100 %

Hey, Philips, nice cans!

Hey! No pushing!

Not for me, Bucco’s. I bought a re-con Phillips from Woot a few years ago and had to return it forthwith for failure to play DVD’s. The replacement worked, but was not reliable - would run half way through a DVD and start freezing. Repl. with a new Sony and no more problems.

I don’t like Phillips.

I got this last time it was on woot, not bad but is way too quiet (for some reason my netflix is loud, but my DLNA media is quiet)

Luckily my TV has digital coax out, so I don’t need to mess with inputs and this does support ARC (my tv doesn’t)

For the price I am happy, but would have gladly paid $50 more for more volume and at least 1 HDMI in.

(Got this namely because I wanted DIVX playback off of disk)
