Some reviews indicate early failure, yellowing (overheated?) housing, and poor customer service if trying to use the Philips “warranty.”
Too bad, I was looking for a 100W-equivalent bulb for a basement area and the standard “60W-equivalents” aren’t giving me enough light. I understand the challenges are greater when trying to get more power and light output in the same style. Old incandescents could handle it but that’s because they ran really hot but were OK with that since there were no microchips and plastics used in their design.
