Who bought this previously? It always struck me as a poor decision to eliminate the structural elements under a picnic table’s table surface. Is the lost rigidity (which is a mechanical certainty) noticeable? Does it feel like it’ll collapse when my 250lb buddy tries to sit down? I noticed it’s shorter than most typical benches, which does help, structurally. Just curious how well the balance works.

Anyone know what the weight capacity is on the picnic table?

It looks like it can hold four people max comfortably.

I bought what appears to be the same thing from Harbor Freight about five years ago. It is sturdy and stable and seats four comfortably. You will need to put a good weatherproof coating on it.

Looks like a weak design. It also looks like it was built by someone very drunk.

I built one of these myself last year after seeing a YouTube video. It cost me about $120 to do it myself from scratch using wet cedar. They work great and you can add removable braces underneath for added stability with $5 in parts.

The only thing that is not great on this table is that it uses fir wood which has a high tendency to warp when subjected to the elements. If you buy this table I would highly recommend investing $40 in a high quality outdoor varnish. That will offset warping significantly.

Do you have pictures or plans of the one you made? I would love to make one vs buying one made of fir.

Unfortunately, it also says “Not Available at this time”.

This looks pretty nice, but does it come unassembled? We already have too many unfinished projects around here.

It won’t come completely assembled, we’ve been told “minimum assembly required”, so I don’t think it’ll necessarily be a “project”.

missed it
