Pimp Yo Ride!

I am looking at the nuvi 40LM for navigating around europe this summer. Does this model have maps for Germany and France or can I add them?

Might wanna ask about the Beltronics RX 65 series, last time it was offered I ended up with the international version which is useless in the USA, luckily I got a hold of Escort and they let me send it in to get re-flashed and updated with USA settings.

Finally got a garmin customer service rep on the phone. This is likely a US only version.
Amazon has the microSD card on sale at http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-City-Navigator-Europe-MicroSD/dp/B0055XNWJI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1384347267&sr=1-1&keywords=garmin+europe+mapson
Ebay has a similar offering for a third of the price.

Pyle PBT94 Bluetooth Hands Free FM Radio Car Transmitter with USB Flash and Micro SD Card Readers for MP3/WMA Playing, USB Charging Port & AUX Input

I’m sorry, it looks like Pyle’s product page has the same info (or lack of in this case). Amazon’s page has the same, and the reviews didn’t mention the Bluetooth version. You might contact Pyle, they probably have more insight.

Anyone know the differences between PLTR25UB and PLR32MPB? they look different but they seem to have the same features.

I did. They have not responded. Bluetooth version is pretty important -kinda’ like a pc w/Windows- wouldn’t consider if not specified, might end up with XP or ME. Woot might want to consider bluetooth version specification a requirement from suppliers.
I’m just sayin’…

Just heard back from them. It’s:

Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and AVRCP

How did you get Julie Taylor from Friday Night Lights to model the product? I suppose she is from Texas

Laugh if you wish: Xzibit IS doing something … he just recently did a rap on a Prog Rock album. Yes, a PROG rock album. I don’t recall the name right off, but Future Publications in the UK publishes the magazine I saw this in…

I had an old Nuvi that Garmin wanted $69 for map updates. Bought this one for less and not regretting it! Used it for the first time yesterday and was really impressed with the upgrades from the old models.

Does anyone know if the Pyle head units ship with the wiring harnesses? Over on Amazon the main complaint about the bluetooth units was that the didn’t come with a harness.

Thanks!

Does Woot put the stuff on sellout if it doesn’t sell? I would love to buy a few of these items on Friday but the sale ends on Wednesday… Kind of a bummer…

Bought the Pyle PLTR25UB Bluetooth Receiver 12/24v model recently and had same concern but it came with wiring as pictured. Bluetooth works well, UI leaves much to be desired, worst of all is background noise while unit accesses/plays from USB and SD slots. For $40 I didn’t expect much better and use BT almost exclusively but noise issue is really disappointing.

Sub will certainly work with that amp just look to Crutchfield of wiring/setup. Just remember to keep the gain low until you know how much power the sub can take before it distorts. You will more than likely have to replace the factory head unit since both 1000w pyle amps don’t have speaker level inputs.

Depends on a lot of factors. Sometimes but not always.

Just received my Pyle PLD77MUB.

It does not play DVD’s, although it says it does. It does not even come with any cables to hook it up… none. Its not motorized, as a matter of fact the unit itself just kind of sits there… I need to buy a couple things before i can even try to install it into my vehicle. I have to buy a ISO Female adapter as well as the one for my vehicle. The cost alone for that is another 30 dollars… then i have to wait for about 15-30 days from Hong Kong. This may be going back as i dont like how it came with no wires whatsoever. The installation instructions are also very vague.
