More of the same thing :frowning:

If there were 650s or 750s offered at a similar discount, I’d almost certainly pick up a pair and the 700 center.

Inventory options are variable. If you are inclined to get our top of the line BD 700ll Center channel, I recommend you get it now. Next time we may have the BD 750ll, but not the Center channel.

Thank you

Hello WOOT community and Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, and happy Holidays to all. I am Arin with Pinnacle Speakers, TEAM LEADER consumer division. Pinnacle is a family owned and operated USA based company, established in 1976. Now entering our 39th year. We have the distinction and honor of being the oldest independently owned and operated USA based speaker company with the longest running management team in the industry. We are famous in the Speaker and consumer electronics industry and known specifically for superior performance, innovative engineering and old fashioned, personal service. We do it time and again!! We make amazing products and have sold millions of speakers. We have products ranging from “BUDGET AUDIOPHILE” to TRUE AUDIOPHILE up to $8,000. We offer these exclusive and honestly ridiculous “no brainer” deals to WOOT as an exclusive buy it now, snooze or lose opportunity.

I will be here monitoring the forum to assist in answering any and all questions regarding our products. I have been with Pinnacle for 11 years and I proudly tell you,we make terrific products. I am quite knowledgeable about our products and speakers in general. If something is technically beyond me, I have access to one of our audio engineers for the most highly technical questions. There is no such thing as a “DUMB” question. These are complicated decisions. So, if you have a question, please ask. Chances are your question will also help many other Woot forum people.

I am a specialist in Pinnacle, although I cannot speak for other company products, I can try to assist in building a system with our products and some existing items you may already own.

Thanks for your participation in this forum

Thanks Arin. Any info on the likelihood that we’ll see the 750s in the next few weeks?

#8

I cannot predict, but each of the BD series speakers have a lot of hand work. The lacquer cabinets go through a multi step process taking a full week to make a cabinet. They are stunning when finished. But, at these kinds of prices we can only allow a certain limited number. Bottom line, I think we are a few months away from having any for these events so I suggest you consider picking up parts of your system as products appear. As you can see, many people are wait listed for some of our subwoofers. So, grab em when you can.

Finally pulled the trigger on the BD 2500’s.

Moving the BD 750’s to the rear now.

Can’t wait!

#10

How have you liked the 750s?

#11

I think they are great! Pinnacle is a really solid brand that doesn’t get enough acknowledgement.

I’m working on a detailed technical review that I want to publish soon.

#12

I’m a 77 year old newbe to this stuff, I have a HDTV but the builtin spkrs are yeck, I just want better sound from the system, what do you recommend?

#13

Why can’t I find any reviews or information on the QP SYS 12200. I seem to have tracked down what the two model numbers are, but still nothing! Anyone have any experience with them. Seems like a lot of power.

#14

Hi, yes that is very typical which is why we have the SOUNDBAR category. I strongly suggest QP SYS 12200 featured in this event. It has our best SOUNDBAR, which hooks easily right into your TV. and a excellent powered subwoofer which hooks easily to your SOUNDBAR. We supply the cables too.

This will give you a dramatic improvement for watching TV, movies, sports and also for music listening. I highly recommend this as the best choice. It’s performance is truly comparable to items well over $1,000.

I am interested in getting speakers, but my family has never owned any and I am a complete noob. If I wanted to use these with a computer or tv, do I need an amp, what else will I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated

#17

Do you have a suggestion on how to get my sound at remote to interact with with soundboard again? I bought the SP12SL from woot last year and the remote stop working recently. I have changed the batteries and still no luck.

It depends what you’re wanting out of your soundsystem. There are three basic categories of options, two of which would require a receiver/amp.

  1. Powered Speakers
Powered speakers have at least one of some sort of audio connector to connect directly to your tv. They also plug into an electrical outlet and have a built in amplifier so you don’t need an external amp.
    Pros:
Better sound than the speakers in your tv.
    Simple to setup and use.
    Cons:
Sound typically not as good as better speakers that require an amplifier
More limited options in connecting audio video devices

The most common of these for tv are soundbars, though they are common in other forms as computer speakers. For better bass than just a soundbar, some of the soundbars come with (or can connect to) a subwoofer.
In this sale, the QP SYS 12200 Pinnacle Premier 2.1 Soundbar with 300W 8" Subwoofer and the Front Row PBAR 6200 175W Soundbar are the two options in this category. All the other speakers would need some sort of amplifier.

  1. Home Theater AV surround receiver with speakers.
Although there are powered speaker surround options, usually if you want decent surround sound for your tv you’ll need an AV receiver. You can get a decent one for a couple hundred bucks but can spend way more than that.
A receiver has an amplifier for the speakers built in to it. It will have a variety of inputs for audio and video and at least one video output you plug in to your tv. Typically you will then use the receiver to switch which input (blu ray, cable box, etc) you want to watch on your tv.
A receiver will typically be 5.1, 5.2, 7.1, or 7.2. The number before the decimal refers to the number of speakers, after the decimal is the number of subwoofers. Even if you buy a 7.1 or 7.2 receiver, you can use it with fewer speakers. (I currently have a 7.2 capable receiver but only use it as a 5.1 system.)
You can often buy the speakers as a bundle (like the sold out 5.1 system) which can be a good way to start as it’s easier than making sure you’re getting speakers that work well together.
Arin from pinacle could tell you which speakers work well for front, center, and surround as well as which speakers go well together and would suit your room size. (She can also let you know if the receiver you are considering buying would be powerful enough for the speakers you’re considering.)

  2. **Stereo receiver **
These are similar to the surround receiver, however they would just support 2 speakers (or often 2 speakers plus a subwoofer)
If you don’t care about surround sound and just want a step up from your tv’s speakers (or if you primarily listen to music) this cab be a good option. You can get a pretty good stereo receiver for under $100. (again, it’s possible to spend way more)

If your primary purpose is home theater and you can easily run/hide wires, I think option 2 is the best bet.

But how loud is it and still clear? I’m guessing it doesn’t distort. My Sony has a 100W sub supposedly, but barely thumps.

I also have a receiver that’ll do 100w / channel with a sub passthrough. I’m not an audiophile. Just want to have fun watching and get it loud enough that a conversation isn’t practical.

#20

We all need to start somewhere and we appreciate your question. Our Model FRONTROWPBAR 6200 is a SOUNDBAR which means it is designed specifically to improve the typically dreadful sound from the Flat Panel TV.s It hooks directly to the TV and has it’s own amplifier.

It is not designed for music listening however.

The best product for both TV and computers and a truly remarkable performance for TV and music is model QP12200. IT has a powered soundbar and a powered subwoofer. Subwofer for great bass and especially with music.

So, the best product for both computer listening and TV watching we can offer for anything below $1,000 is QPSYS 12200.

There are also many products designed specific for computers if you are interested in just a set of computer speakers.

Thanks,

ARIN
