No optical inputs? Looks like it only accepts an analog and hdmi. no thanks.

How many speakers does it have?

I just snagged pioneers HTS-GS1 with 2 optical in’s. I will have to pass. This woot looks decent.
It gets the “Not crizznap” rating

If I had $279.99 + $5 for shipping I would buy it cause I need another surround sound system for my basement oh well can’t have everything.

6!

I only want to say this about this system, you really can’t call a box with a 6 5/16 inch driver in it a “sub woofer” you could call it a midrange speaker but woofer it isn’t and subwoofer…please don’t make me laugh.

Its a “cheapie” home theater in a box. Its not for the people who need the excellent sound system.

If I had the money I would probably pick this up.
Btw, sellout.woot looks like it would go well with this today.

The size of the driver doesnt really mean that much. It makes a difference, but is only a small part of its performance. I have a pair of $800 dollar tower speakers and their biggest driver is 6.5" It sounds great all the way down to 20hz. It also has a 6.5" midrange, showing that size doesnt matter;). well, atleast, not all that much.

even cheaper @ amazon, 245 and change shipped

is that samsung system better than this pioneer?

Re the matter of size, let’s just say that in electronics size doesn’t matter.

I need surround system, is this worth the cash? I don’t understand what is the advantage of this dvd player. how does blue ray fit in to this ? I wish I was smart or less dumb
