go this in last woot-off BOC, works like a charm! awesome bass!
Does this subwoofer put the POLKA in Polk Audio?

but with no reviews I would be wary. Remember that old FM transmitter you had to play CDs in your car’s tape deck? Yeah, wireless transmission is not really the best technology to use for high-quality audio.
hold on… while i drop the BASS!
Im sure we had a few advancements since then…least i hope so hahah
Looks like a paper cone. Any info on what the cone and surround are made of?
Edit: Sorry, I see it now in the specs. Driver is made of Copolymer. I assume the surround is rubber not foam.
That’s annoying - my BOC was full of… crap.
I have had good luck with a wireless sub on a panasonic sound bar and a few other wireless devices without any noticable artifacts or noise. But I cannot attest to this other than polk makes some solid stuff.
?? So what can this hook up to…Can this hook up to a receiver and be a part of a speaker system? Can this be used with an iPod as both a speaker and the bass?
sorry, I just won I guess…I do live in vegas, so perhaps woot felt pity for my plight of being surrounded by loss.
I like my beats fast and my bass down low…

Wireless subs make no sense. Subs can be placed anywhere in the room, it is not like a surround speaker that must be to the side or behind.
8inches is too small to get low frequencies anyway.
Put this under the center seat in your couch, turn up the bass, and play hockey or football video games.
You’re welcome.
The transmitter hooks in to the RCA audio out (red/white) on your TV or Reciever for your current system. The wireless transmitter gets powered by either the USB connection in the back of newer TVs or by a 110 outlet in the wall.
I purchased one of these from Woot a week or two ago, with much reservation. I’ve never known wireless speakers to satisfy me (a perfectionist but maybe not quite an audiophile), but I thought I’d take a chance on this as my wired Polk 10" sub took a dive a few months back, and my wife hates wires (even ones run in a track along the wall).
And to you smart guys saying you can put a sub anywhere: just wait until you get married.
I’m very pleased with the speaker and the wireless functionality in my set up. I am just using a subwoofer (mono RCA) out from my receiver to the transmitter, and it works great. I did have to move the transmitter a couple feet away from my wireless router, but it’s fine now.
Adding to my recent woes with Woot! lately is of course I paid 10% more 4 weeks ago. Not a happy customer lately.
