Other Polk speakers get great reviews on Buzzillions. That’s good…
Just a single speaker? So you have to buy two?
Or does it do stereo out of the one speaker?
So If I need a good home theatre system, is this a good thing to buy. and if yes, how many of these should I buy…
Stereo out of a single speaker sounds like an oxymoron, like jumbo shrimp or military intelligence.
Have you noticed a preponderance of bass perhaps? All I need now is my dual tape deck and an equalizer.
Probably a great speaker, but kinda pricey for just the one.Guess I’ll stick with the pair from Goodwill…
Good speakers but they really should sell them in pairs. Unless of course you only got one ear…
polk makes some great stuff for reasonable prices… i’m sure these are an absolute steal at this price…
So for a home theater system, would I need to buy five?
James K. Polk-- all hail the “Napoleon of the Stump”!!!
These are 400 bucks at Amazon. This is a great price.
Considering its usually $399 for a single speaker, I think buying two for stereo at this price is a great bargain. You could probably even use this as a center
I find the austere, severe design completely appropriate.
But I don’t need new speakers.
For a home theater system, for regular stereo, you need 2. For surround sound, you need 4 or 6, along with a center speaker which is usually specifically made for that. For any of the setups, for decent bass, you need a subwoofer also. 4 speakers and a center/sub is 5.1 surround sound, 6 is 7.1 surround sound.
Why not just buy 3 for the usual price of 1, then pretend you got 2 free. That way if you F one up you can replace it. Or just throw them in odd places or something…
Sofora 5.1, I have to buy 4 of these, plus hunt for a center speaker, subwoofer and receiver?
Damn just thinking about Wolf Blitzer in 7.1 surround sound gives me the willies!!
