So this is a Chromecast but for more money?

I’ve got 4x Atrium 5 and they are really good little speakers. They put out a ton of sound and they’re weatherproof – I leave 2 permanently attached outside my garage for pool area music and they survive all the direct elements just fine. The only thing about the 5’s is they slightly lack in bass but I hear the 6’s resolve that issue perfectly. Highly recommended

I presume the Atrium 6 is a pair?

Correct

I’m interested in the P1 to add streaming to my stereo system. Can I add services to this? I would like to install a Plex client to this to play all my Flac and Apple Lossless files. Can I do this? Is this Linux based? If so then it is cheaper than building my own Rasbury Pi.

Yeah, no kidding. I just checked the Polk site and this retails for $300 brand new! Wow.

I skimmed over the manual on the Polk site. Looks like it can stream audio from a local network, either through DLNA or Plex. You’ll need to use the mobile app or desktop software to make everything work.

Anyone else get their S2R delivered yet? Mine did not include the bluetooth adapter as stated in the item description.

I got my Omni S2’s (2 each). I was disappointed to find that no bluetooth adapter came, as was in the description. The good: sound is great and they seem like great quality. The bad: One of the two I got would not connect to my network. Instead of going back to Woot, I contacted Polk for help and they are sending me a new speaker, so Woot is off the hook for the defective one. I was hoping to use these to extend my receiver to a second zone in my house. Turns out I should have gotten the Omni P1 to do it. Hopefully Woot will have a DTS Play-Fi interface again soon. Other notes: If you don’t have an interface device, You have to have the mobile app running continuously to stream audio to these devices. Plan on having your phone plugged in all day or have a dedicated mobile device with the app running.
