My Dave’s Desk Crap (or as I called it my Dave’s Dreaded Delivery of Doom) landed on my doorstep. As promised, I moved it to a secure location outside, surrounded by concrete for safety. If it exploded upon opening, I was safe. If it needed to be set ablaze, my surroundings were safe. Note: many paper clips were heard jangling during the move.
I carefully opened the box to reveal the contents.
There was no explosion, no glitter bomb, no danger, and the contents appeared to NOT need to be burned into oblivion. So, I decided to remove the contents indoors, while still being careful. I must say, this was a Woot! fail, if disappointment was the goal. Perhaps I was misled and there was no doom to be dreaded. After all, this is a DDC not a BOC.
Without further ado, here is what I received:
a) Tuna, Starkist, canned, not dented or expired (Is Dave a cat/penguin/catguin, since he keeps so much tuna at his desk?)
2\ Outlet, Ondog, six outlets and two USB’s, surge protection
4} Award, Woot!, “Found this Ribbon” ribbon, blue
E] Monkey, Woot!, Screaming, wearing Caution Cape
7- Paperclips, small, silver, 89
L= Bed Sheet, King size, flat, light grey, and 2 matching King size pillowcases, no bottom sheet, not in package (Is this some sort of weird part of a WootAfterDark item? And, more importantly, why was this in/on Dave’s desk?)
9> Apron, dark blue, “I’m only here for the potato salad.” WINNER!!!
Z* Note Card, containing single word - TIME
So, the only disappointment is that the sheet and pillow cases will need to be majorly sanitized before being used in some way. The tuna will be added to the pantry, the paperclips and award go to the “office,” the outlet will get plugged in somewhere in the house, the monkey will be added to the collection (but will be the “odd” monkey so another will need to be ordered/won), and the apron will be worn in the kitchen or when grilling outside (and added to the many Woot! aprons already owned). The note card may be framed as a cherished memento.
Final note: I think I guessed correctly that we’re dealing with a Woot! fairy tale that begins with “Once upon a time…”
THANKS!!! @davejlives This was a ton of fun!
