Lol I have a stash I keep in a box marked fish sticks! No one will eat that here!! They have ears and noses of a hound so eventually my gig will be up!
Finally decided to order a power cord for the Brother P-Touch that I received in the last round of post mongering (gently used from Daves desk).
I guess I should have explored it earlier, because little did I know I did not even need the MIA power cord, and it can be used strictly with batteries!! 
(and it even had six rechargeable batteries already loaded into the machine, that will just need to be charged up).
I grabbed some new batteries, because I’m too impatient to wait for the others to charge (because I’ve only had this thing sitting around since March, why do I need to be patient for another couple hours), and it does work!!
Apparently someone up in Seattle was labeling some cotton candy??? 
I’ll probably still buy the AC cord, they’re only about eight dollars on the mothership and you never know when you might not have batteries around. Super happy about my bonus score!
They chew through label tape pretty dang quick, though.

And the roll that’s pre-loaded in there, looks to be 3/4 used already. Maybe I should pick up another tape when I order the cord…
They do have a bit of waste each print, but we basically use ours to label the kids’ water bottles, and a few other random things and the rolls tend to last quite a while with that use case.
I’ve also never plugged ours in. We only run it off batteries. I don’t think ours came with a power cord.
