It provides you 9 minutes of backup at 50% power. What good is that if they do not tell you what the power rating is. IT could be 200 watts, if that was the case, then you would get 9 minutes of backup of your audio system only required 100 watts.
I am so un-techno, that half the time I check woot and by the time I figure out what the thing does, the button is bouncing. Itās like everyday is Wootoff!
UGH I just spent my money on a HD DLP projector. as well as all the goodies (ceiling mount, cables, equipment)ā¦ I will eventually need to buy one of these. must have for projectors.
/fingers crossed this does not sell out
//so i can pick it up @ the next woot-off
///by then i will have $
////win win
Good Product.
I have had an older model for about 3 years. I live out in the boonies, and it has saved my home theater system from lightening damage several (>4) times. Compare the capabilities/stats to your TV/receiver/DVDPlayer/etc & see if it will handle your wattage & amperage needs. I recommend it.
Nice to see this one backā¦got one before they sell out like last time in a wootoff a while back. My power went off this winter with my Optoma HD72 projector running and when power came back, it ruined my projector bulb and had to replace it with only 600 hrs on it. $350 later, I wish I had one of these to have prevented it. Great price compared to others Iāve seen.
Best place I know to compare is Altex.com (web or brickān mortar in far north Dallas, actually Carrollton, TX).
We bought ours there for our security camera system and big screen TV+stereo system center (one for each). Heard equip like this are great for keep AV running smoothly, esp w/lightning strikes (had one), brown/blackouts (had lots with new contruction nearby). Surge protector protects against spikes, think of line conditioner like a modulator/keeps power in certain frequency range (better for equipment) and UPS keeps it up and running when no power. Should say how long itāll give power and how much. So far so good for our systems.
NCIXUS.com (above) and PriceBat.ca claim this is a 1000VA, 500-watt UPS, and goes for $250-$350 in various places online. With 10 outlets, this sounds like an awesome deal.
