These are pretty good. Very versatile and replaces a rack of weights. I use them for suitcase-style dead-lifting, among other exercises.

Are these U90 Stage 1?

FYI - These are not expandable.

They seem to be. I’ve owned a pair since December

Edit: They are NOT THE U90! Sorry!

I’ve had a pair of these since December. I can’t recommend these enough. Feels great in my hands and secure when adjusting weights. The modular design has allowed me to upgrade to the stage II already expanding the weight limit to 70 lbs each.

I’d be jumping on this deal if I already didn’t have a pair. Fantastic bargain.

Edit: My review was for the U90 stage I- These are not the same. Please disregard but this is still a great deal!

These are not. If you look along the bottom of the weight you do not see slots for the expansion weights. The max out at 50. Still a great set for a decent price if you don’t need more than 50.

Here are the u-90’s

These look like the classic model:

Do these come with any stand or something to hold them? If not is that a big problem?

In the box:

(1) PowerBlock Personal Trainer Adjustable Dumbbell Set
PowerBlock stand not included

Stand is not included. I believe they make one but we’re not selling it today.

Back to my question then-- from someone who has these. Is a stand necessary in any way? Harder to change the weight settings without one?

We have the Sport version. On carpet, it’s a little tricky to get the plastic to slide in properly, I always have to double check it’s in straight, but on a hardwood floor it’s no problem.

Thanks. I would be on a hard surface so it sounds good.
