I cannot speak for the Powermate motor, but the pump is made by Annovi Reverberi in Italy. I had one on my Troy-Bilt pressure washer for over 10 years and it gave excellent service from cleaning the driveway and back patio to getting the bugs off our vehicles during our semi-annual Lovebug season (which was particularly bad here in Central Florida this past month).
With regular oil-changes and other routine annual maintenance, the motor will most likely last longer than the pump but the pump is both easy to replace and inexpensive. The equivalent AR pump is currently around $115 but a Himore pump with the same specs can be found for $70-90. I changed mine out last week and it took all of one wrench, 4 bolts, a touch of grease on the motor shaft, and 20 minutes of my time.
The meat of the problem, however, is that this price is not a deal. You can find any number of similar capacity pressure washers from the mothership for this price.
