Note Price Drop!

Not a bad price and from the looks of the air intake, it would EASY to add a tri-fuel kit so it would burn natural gas and LPG. I converted my 8k portable generator with a kinda expensive NASH fuel conversion kit. Then got a 15ft outdoor gas hose. All I have to do is wheel aka “drag” it out of the garage, quick connect the hose to the garage NG connection then quick connect it to the genset. Press the prime button (you can hear the gas flow when you do this) a couple of times, press start and VAROOM! My adapter wasn’t easy to put on (framing got in the way) but his generator seems to have plenty of room for a kit.

But just a couple of things owners of generators don’t know.

  1. You really NEED to run these under load a few times a year.

  2. Don’t forget to stabilize your fuel. and if you have a tri fuel system, run it under gas and NG by switching from on to the other half way through your load test.

  3. If you have UPS for your tv or computer/network, make sure your UPS is generator compliant or puts out pure sine-wave. Most $100+ UPS can be adjusted for “dirty” power. You might have to adjust your threshold or they will keep going back and forth and will FRY your battery.

Props to TC1USCG! I feel like I actually learned something worthy today. And thank you for serving!
